This was the first device that made it possible to heat water hygienically, without contaminating it with combustion gases.

Gas valves supply the boiler with gas. So, any issue with the gas valve that is restricting the flow of gas could lead to the F28 error being displayed on your Vaillant. Testing a gas valve is not something that should be done on a DIY basis for safety reasons, so always contact a Gas Safe engineer.

As you know the annual service validates the guarantee and without this annual service the guarantee is deemed void. Therefore all Vaillant and Glow-worm boilers registered with us with annual services due between February 2020 and June 2020 will maintain their guarantee if the annual service is completed before the end of 2020. 17th March 2020

Conventional or regular Vaillant boilers, more popularly known as open vent or heat only boilers, are the perfect match for large homes with multiple bathrooms. Open vent regular boilers have a cold water tank, a storage cylinder placed inside the airing cupboard, and a boiler to provide hot water and central heating.

The gas valve will control the flow of gas to your boiler. This works in line with the thermostat and PCB to ensure water and heating temperature is correct. If the PCB recognises that the gas valve isn’t providing the gas, it will shut the boiler down. This will lead to the F61 error code being shown on your Vaillant.
